Level 1 · Vault

USAG women’s DP · 2021–2029 compulsory cycle

Prescribed vault summary. Equipment specifications, attempts and scoring procedures need the current handbook and Rules & Policies.

  • Stretch jump onto the mat stack

This is the first part of the Level 1 vault exercise.

  • Handstand to a flat-back landing

The handstand-and-fall sequence is a separate second part; the stretch jump alone is not the whole exercise.

Compulsory routines follow a set exercise. A harder skill is not automatically an allowed replacement. Use only the choices specified for this level.

Coverage, sources and data updates

Women’s USAG Development Program Levels 1–5: major-skill references for vault, bars, beam and floor; Level 5 bars is partial. Xcel Bronze–Sapphire: existing event references and selected bars, beam and floor checks. Deduction Finder: selected Xcel and FIG rules. Review dates are shown with each result. DP routine scoring, DP Levels 6–10 and men’s DP requirements are not included.

Routine checks use the answers entered. They do not identify skills from video, award an official score or decide which level a gymnast should enter. The rules engine supports selected requirements; some answers require coach or judge confirmation.
